Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Over the last six years, I and my husband have reduced our belongings and clutter. We’ve reduced and reduced and reduced, all the way from a 1,200 square foot house in a city to a one bedroom, 555 square foot apartment in a small town. And yet, we still have clutter!
Unless one quits buying anything, the cycles of clutter are never ending! Out goes two pots, in comes one! Let’s get rid of these extra tools and just have one basic set. A week or a month or a year later, oh, no, we don’t have that tool any longer. Guess we better go buy another to repair this. Five books out, three books in.
And my yarn stash should be nonexistent these days. Ha! Did you know that if you leave a few skeins of yarn in a closet by themselves, they multiply like mad? Just last year I gave away an entire chest of yarn and left a few skeins of pink and gold alone. I opened my closet the other day and there’s an entire chest full of yarn in ALL colors again! Naughty things! They’ve been at it again! Hmmm, well, guess I better knit faster or give some away again. Sorry. What was the question, again?
